( or at the Manager's Discretion) Job Type: Full-Time _______________________ Job Summary/Description: Launch your television career as a Production Assistant in our fast-paced broadcast studio. You’ll gain practical, hands-on experience operating professional equipment (studio cameras, audio boards, and graphics systems) while collaborating directly with seasoned directors and technical staff. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to build core production skills, learn the fundamentals of directing, and grow within the industry.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Operate cameras/studio floor directing and other production-related tasks for various newscasts and projects.
• Audio & Graphics execution: Mix audio using the audio console, manage wireless microphones/IFBs, and prepare and trigger on-air graphics and lower thirds.
• Edit syndicated promos for air and other content using Adobe Premiere.
• Maintain appearance of studio including cleaning of set and floors.
• Basic maintenance and operation of props, cameras, prompters, sets, and other production equipment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Some video production and television studio experience is preferred but not required.
• The successful candidate will be a fast learner with strong communication skills and able to work early mornings, late evenings, holidays, flexible hours, and weekends.
• Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive newscast production.
