We are seeking a Production Assistant to join the CNN FlashDocs team, creating premium longform content for CNN’s linear and digital platforms. The Production Assistant will support the lead producers, associate producers and senior leadership team in all aspects of development, production and post-production. Your Role Accountabilities... The ideal candidate is creative and has a deep curiosity of news and popular culture.
This person should be highly organized and detail-oriented, as they will be responsible for supporting and producing multiple segments. Candidates should have experience supporting shoots in the field. There will be light to moderate travel. PA’s will be asked to transcribe drafts of compelling interview descriptions, guest bios, and headlines, and support research packets assigned by producers and the senior leadership team. Help manage workflows, calendars, and team communications Production Assistants should be prepared to pitch stories, characters, and experts. Candidates will be asked to develop, produce and edit content to be posted on social media.
Qualifications & Experience... Knowlege of Iconik, Airtable and Adobe Premiere preferred Highly organized and detail-oriented Strong oral and written communication skills Passion for topical news and key issues of the moment, especially as related to popular culture. Understanding of diverse video formats, from live programming to storytelling Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills Experience researching and developing stories through development. Experience in shooting and producing in the field. Second language is a plus. This candidate should be an effective communicator, capable of working closely with senior producers and producers on their scripts and pitches. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $43,680.00 - $81,120.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
