Compensation: $100,100 Job Description The Deal Desk Manager leads a team of commercial experts who serve as strategic partners to Thomson Reuters' go-to-market organization. The Deal Desk team enables complex, high-value deals that align customer needs with Thomson Reuters' strategy, commercial policies, and profitability objectives. By providing deal guidance, governance, and operational expertise, the Deal Desk team allows Sales to focus on selling while improving efficiency and execution across the sales cycle. The Deal Desk Manager partners closely with business segment leaders, Product, Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, Pricing, Commercial Policy, and other cross-functional teams to execute go-to-market strategies. Responsibilities Lead and develop the Deal Desk team to enable timely, compliant, and effective deal execution. Structure complex and strategic deals to deliver a strong customer experience while protecting Thomson Reuters' commercial and financial objectives. Advise Sales and business segment leaders on complex commercial challenges, negotiation strategies, and deal execution. Translate go-to-market strategies into effective Deal Desk processes, operating mechanisms, and controls. Coach Sales and business segment leaders on commercial policies, processes, and best practices to improve performance and expand selling capacity. Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver initiatives that improve the quality, speed, and profitability of deals. Ensure compliance with Rules of Engagement and Commercial Policy through clear governance, process standardization, and automated solutions. Provide actionable insights to Pricing, Commercial Policy, Legal, and other stakeholders to improve commercial practices, contracting, and policy. Identify, scope, and implement process and system enhancements that increase operational efficiency across the sales cycle.

Lead change-management efforts that improve stakeholder alignment, adoption, and sales-cycle effectiveness. Mentor team members through onboarding, training, coaching, and collaborative problem-solving. Apply end-to-end Order-to-Cash expertise to accelerate issue resolution and strengthen cross-functional execution. Establish an issue-resolution framework across front- and back-office teams that addresses root causes, closes knowledge gaps, and sets clear stakeholder expectations. Promote data-driven decision-making and deliver reporting tools that strengthen visibility, accountability, and performance. Engage directly with business segment leaders and customers, when needed, to resolve issues and optimize deal flow. Operate effectively in a dynamic, complex, and highly matrixed environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Six or more years of professional experience in Deal Desk, client-facing, commercial, or sales-support roles. Experience managing and developing teams in a complex business environment. Demonstrated knowledge of the sales cycle, customer contracting, and complex deal execution. Strong business acumen, communication, influencing, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills. Proven ability to manage high-volume processes and systems with accuracy, consistency, and integrity. Ability to work effectively across functions, organizational levels, regions, and cultures. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.

Preferred

Qualifications Master of Business Administration. Experience with SaaS and content-based products, commercial models, contracting, and sales operations. Proven success leading complex, cross-functional projects and change initiatives. Ability to challenge existing practices constructively and implement sustainable improvements. Experience delivering against objectives and key results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Experience with Salesforce, order-capture platforms, SAP, or Oracle. Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $100,100 USD - $185,900 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
