The Streaming Production Assistant supports the day-to-day production and execution of CBS Sports Digital programming. Working closely with Producers and Associate Producers, this role assists with video, graphics, highlights, and other production elements for live and digital programming. The Streaming Production Assistant will help prepare and distribute content across CBS Sports Digital platforms while gaining hands-on experience in live streaming production, video editing, graphics, and control room workflows. This role is an important part of the production team and provides support across multiple CBS Sports Digital programs and platforms.
Your Day-to-Day
● Assist Producers and Associate Producers with the day-to-day production of CBS Sports Digital programming.
● Build and fire live studio graphics using Ross XPression.
● Capture, edit, and assemble video clips using Adobe Premiere and other non-linear editing systems.
● Prepare highlights, one-plays, interviews, and other video content for distribution across CBS Sports Digital platforms.
● Screen and organize video content for use across digital and streaming platforms.
● Edit, encode, and publish video content for digital distribution.
● Assist with the preparation of video, graphics, scripts, and other elements for live programming.
● Support control room and studio production as assigned.
● Help maintain accurate and organized production materials, files, and content.
● Work closely with Producers and Associate Producers to fulfill day-to-day production requests.
● Assist with special events, breaking news coverage, and other high-priority programming as needed. Key Projects
● Assist with the production of live shows, podcasts, segments, and other digital programming.
● Help identify and prepare compelling video and graphic elements for programming.
● Support the creation and distribution of content across streaming, digital, mobile, and social platforms. What You Bring to the Team
● Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital media production, broadcasting, video production, or a related field preferred.
● 1+ years of experience in broadcast, digital media, video production, or a related field preferred.
● Knowledge of fundamental video editing and encoding concepts.
● Proficiency with or working knowledge of Adobe Premiere.
● Familiarity with graphics systems such as Ross XPression is a plus.
● Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow direction in a live production environment.
● Strong organizational and time management skills.
● Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while working under tight deadlines.
● Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with Producers, Associate Producers, and other production staff.
● Strong understanding of digital, streaming, mobile, and internet platforms.
● Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, overnights, holidays, and other shifts as needed.
● Strong knowledge of major and minor professional and collegiate sports.
● Passion for sports and an interest in sports media and digital programming. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Hiring Salary Range: $$23.76-$25.50. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies.
