Responsibilities (What You're Doing) Help execute House Beautiful's cross-platform social media strategy to grow audience, engagement, and brand awareness. Develop and maintain the social content calendar while supporting promotional plans tied to editorial initiatives, features, and launches. Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging social platforms while maintaining brand voice and editorial standards. Monitor social media performance and audience engagement, sharing insights and recommendations with the editorial team to inform future content decisions. Collaborate with editorial, art, commerce, and photo teams to develop compelling social-first storytelling and creative campaigns. Stay informed on emerging social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to identify new opportunities for audience growth. Support day-to-day social publishing workflows, ensuring deadlines are met and content is optimized for each platform.
Qualifications (What We're Looking For) 1+ years of experience managing or creating social media content for a publisher, media company, brand, or similar environment. Strong editorial judgment with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Passion for home, design, decorating, and lifestyle content. Knowledge of major social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and emerging channels. Experience using social analytics and publishing tools such as TrueAnthem, Parse.ly, Dash Hudson, or similar platforms. Highly organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Creative thinker with a curiosity for social trends and audience engagement strategies. This position is based in our New York City office and requires working onsite. The hourly rate for this role is $25.00 per hour. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation.
