Responsibilities Deliver scripted and ad lib material with professionalism, personality, and purpose Report from the field as directed by management Have an active presence on social media that engages the audience An ability to summarize information into easy-to-understand components Unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards Appears on behalf of the station at public events Other duties within newscasts as directed by management
Requirements 2+ years of anchor experience preferred Minimum 2 years of reporting experience Your demo reel is indicative of your everyday work Anchor that connects with viewers, in addition to reporting skills Can work in all weather conditions, work varied shifts, including overnights and weekends and carry up to 50 pounds Have a valid driver's license and a clear driving record Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive newscast production In-person attendance is required Value in Action At Hearst Television we tell stories every day.
