Job Description We are looking for a Production Operations Specialist to join the Technology team in Salt Lake City, Utah, supporting Telemundo Utah. As a Production Operations Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for preparing and executing the operation of the automated production control system (APC) for live and taped television broadcasts. Responsibilities Prepare and direct live and taped news television broadcasts Code rundowns for all broadcasts using INews Work in conjunction with editorial and production personnel to create and execute newscasts utilizing an automated production control system Give direction and timing to talent and other technicians on broadcasts Perform Director and Director Assist duties as required Weekly disaster recovery training Perform other related duties as assigned Assist with editing newscasts, news content, and promotional topicals as needed
Qualifications Basic
Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in television directing in a live news environment Minimum 3 years working with and knowledge of television production equipment Minimum 3 years of experience with computer applications working and monitoring multiple screens and software applications simultaneously in a broadcast environment Minimum 3 years of experience with newsroom computer systems Minimum 1 year experience with Automated Production Control systems (ROSS OverDrive preferred) Eligibility
