About the Role & Program The FX Motion Design and VFX team, part of the broader FX Marketing team, is seeking a Motion Design Intern. This team partners closely with the Content and Editorial team to create marketing spots for every FX-produced show. Made up of storytellers, artists, designers, editors, animators, 3D artists, and production artists, the team brings creative ideas to life through dynamic visual storytelling. The approximate dates of this internship are from January 2027-June 2027. If selected for the role, you will report directly to Creative Director, Motion Design. What You Will Do As our Motion Design Intern, you will contribute to the concepting and execution of broad marketing campaigns for multiple FX shows. In this role, you’ll collaborate with fellow designers and directors to pitch creative concepts and bring them to life. You’ll gain hands-on experience with mixed, multidisciplinary production work across both digital and analog mediums, while helping push design boundaries and develop cutting-edge techniques.
As a Motion Design intern, you might expect to do some of the following: Design logos and styleframes, research and conceptualize ideas 2D and/or 3D animation Assisting our Production team in generating multiple versioning for all marketing spots Participate in bi-weekly Seminars to cover broader entertainment marketing concepts Required
Qualifications &
Skills Design, conceptual problem solver, and out of the box thinker Skilled multi-tasker and detail oriented Experience with Adobe apps (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) Good communication and organizational skills
Preferred
Qualifications A background using 3D software packages such as Cinema 4D or Houdini are a plus Experience with advanced compositing and editing software such as Nuke or Resolve are a plus Familiarity with AI tools and models such as Runway, Claude, and Firefly are a plus Education Senior year preferred Major or previous coursework in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Visual Effects, Post-production Eligibility
Requirements & Program Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program. Be at least 18 years of age Possess unrestricted work authorization Additional Information Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship The approximate dates of this internship are January 2027 until June 2027 Fully available from Monday through Friday, 10am to 7pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA area The pay rate for this role in California is $23.00 per hour.
